Royal Name Swap

Filed under: People — admin @ 11:33 am

NAME CHANGES:

Britain’s present royal family was originally named Saxe-Coburg and
Gotha. The name was changed in 1917, during WW1 because of German
connotations. The name Windsor was suggested by one of the staff. At the
same time the Battenberg family name of the cousins to the Windsors was
changed into Mountbatten.

….don’t hold with folks changin names more’n they changes they
underwear. Ain’t no wonder ya can’t find nobody no more. Folks jes up an
disappearin. Bet they jes name changin. Royal family should oughta be
ashamed.

MTV!

Filed under: History — admin @ 1:09 pm

MTV TRIVIA:

MTV (Music Television) made its debut at 12:01 a.m. on August 1, 1981
The first music-video shown on the rock-video cable channel was,
appropriately, "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. MTV’s
original five veejays were Martha Quinn, Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman,
J.J. Jackson and Alan Hunter.

…I heard that boy a Esther Peabody’s talkin bout that oncet. A TV show
where you sit an watch folks dance an carry on. Never could figger out
why kids these days think watchin is fun. In my day that made ya a
wallflower, an THAT ain’t no fun atall.

Filed under: People — admin @ 12:43 pm

By the time a child finishes elementary school she will have witnessed
8,000 murders and 100,000 acts of violence on television.

…why in tarnation would this be so? City Mommas musta plum lost they
minds. Round hre, kids mights seen that much wrung-neck chickens, but
ain’t no time for no TV ever day. Our kids work, an I ain’t seen none of
em the worse fer it, neither. Well, there was that boy a Ester
Peabody’s. He walked down holler an was the first in these parts ta
finish all twelve grades. Why she let him I dunno, cause now he’s all
hugh an mighty an thinks he’s better n anybody. Like he don’t pull on
his iveralls one leg at a time like everbody else.

packerwhacker.com is available! REALLY!

Filed under: DOMAINS FOR SALE — admin @ 4:34 pm

PACKERWHACKER.COM
IS FOR SALE!

Having trouble finding a domain name people will visit? A web address
MUST be memorable to attract people to your website, but these days it’s
pretty hard to find a decent .com, .net or .us domain available. Domains
are often referred to as "internet real estate", and for good reason.
These days, many people are turning to the secondary marketplace to buy
short, memorable domain names. This is your chance to own just such a
domain.

We use a broker to handle the legal stuff. This protects both the buyer
and the seller, and registration and the transaction fees are both free
to the buyer. Clicking on the above domain name will take you to it’s
sale page. From there, you can register your bid for the domain.
